American Honda has announced the launch of its HRC Performance Shop pilot program, a significant development for U.S. road racing enthusiasts. This initiative is designed to give customers and teams direct access to high-quality HRC racing components and specialized knowledge from Honda Racing Corporation in Japan, a renowned entity in motorcycle competition.
The program's initial phase will concentrate on providing select HRC performance parts for the 2025 and newer CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP models. This includes a range of components such as engine and electrical parts, chassis elements, and crucial setup tools. American Honda plans to explore expanding the program over time, potentially introducing model-specific race kits and even complete, fully built competition units.
Three dealerships have been chosen to participate in this pilot program: Al Lamb’s Dallas Honda in Dallas, TX; Jones Honda in Columbia, MO; and Southern Honda Powersports in Chattanooga, TN. These dealers were selected due to their proven track record in supporting high-level, closed-course motorcycle racing, either through direct team involvement or consistent technical and parts support for competitive racers. The insights gained from this pilot phase will help American Honda evaluate future expansion to additional qualified powersports dealers, reinforcing Honda's long-term commitment to competitive racing support. This program could be a game-changer for riders looking to elevate their performance on the track.
