Bezzecchi Dominates Buriram MotoGP Race

Marco Bezzecchi secured a dominant victory at the FIM MotoGP World Championship race in Thailand, riding his Aprilia to win by over five seconds. Pedro Acosta, the sprint race winner, finished second, and Raul Fernandez completed the podium in third. This race saw reigning World Champion Marc Marquez suffer a DNF due to a rear tire puncture, and remarkably, ended Ducati's long-standing podium streak.
Marco Bezzecchi, riding for Aprilia Racing, delivered a commanding performance to win the FIM MotoGP World Championship race at Thailand's Chang International Circuit. Bezzecchi took the checkered flag in the 26-lap race with a significant lead of over five seconds, marking his first victory of the 2026 season and Aprilia's third consecutive win across different events.
Sprint race winner Pedro Acosta, on his Red Bull KTM Factory RC16, secured the runner-up position, ensuring he leaves Thailand as the early MotoGP World Championship leader. Raul Fernandez, representing Trackhouse Aprilia, earned a strong third place, rounding out the podium. Bezzecchi's teammate, Jorge Martin, finished fourth, with Fernandez's teammate, Ai Ogura, completing the top five.
The race was not without drama, as reigning World Champion Marc Marquez, who was in contention for a podium spot, suffered a race-ending rear tire puncture. This incident, combined with the podium finishers, also brought an end to Ducati's remarkable 88-race podium streak, marking the first time since the 2021 British GP that no Ducati rider stood on the Sunday rostrum. Acosta currently leads the championship standings with 32 points, followed by Bezzecchi with 25 points, and Fernandez in third with 23 points. This sets an exciting tone for the early stages of the MotoGP season, offering plenty for motorcycle racing enthusiasts to follow.
