Darryn Binder, riding his Celtic/Economy Lube + Tire/Warhorse Ducati Panigale V2, clinched his inaugural MotoAmerica Supersport win, leading race one from start to finish. This dominant performance puts the South African rider just two points shy of the championship lead. Tyler Scott and Blake Davis rounded out the podium, making for an exciting race.
Darryn Binder celebrated a significant milestone in the MotoAmerica Supersport series, earning his first victory aboard the Celtic/Economy Lube + Tire/Warhorse Ducati Panigale V2. The South African rider demonstrated exceptional skill, maintaining the lead for the entire 18-lap duration of race one. This impressive win propels Binder into a strong championship contention, now sitting only two points behind the current leader.
Chasing Binder was M4 ECSTAR Suzuki's Tyler Scott, who currently holds the championship lead. The Pennsylvanian rider brought his GSX-R750 home in a close second place, finishing a mere .378 seconds behind Binder. The battle for the final podium spot was equally intense, with Blake Davis of Strack Racing Yamaha securing third on his YZF-R9.
Davis, despite starting fifth, initially challenged for the lead. However, a wide run at turn 10a sent him through the gravel trap, allowing veteran Josh Hayes to pass. Hayes, showing strong pace, unfortunately low-sided on the subsequent lap, paving the way for Davis to reclaim third by the checkered flag. This result highlights the competitive nature of the MotoAmerica Supersport class, offering thrilling action for motorcycle racing enthusiasts.
