Bulega Dominates WSBK Superpole in Hungary, Shatters Lap Record
Nicolo Bulega secured his fifth consecutive World Superbike pole position at Balaton Park Circuit in Hungary, setting a new all-time lap record of 1:38.094 on his Aruba.it Racing Ducati. He outpaced Lorenzo Baldassarri and Yari Montella, who completed the front row. American rider Garrett Gerloff qualified 12th for the upcoming races.
Nicolo Bulega continues his impressive run in the World Superbike Championship, claiming pole position at the Balaton Park Circuit in Hungary. Riding his Aruba.it Racing Ducati Panigale V4 R, Bulega not only topped the 22-rider field but also shattered the previous all-time lap record. His blistering time of 1:38.094 was significantly faster than Toprak Razgatlioglu’s 2025 record of 1:38.357.
This marks Bulega's fifth consecutive pole position, showcasing his consistent speed and dominance in the series. Joining him on the front row are Lorenzo Baldassarri, who qualified second on his Team Go Eleven Ducati with a 1:38.702, and Yari Montella, securing third with a 1:38.719 on his Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati.
The second row features Miguel Oliveira (ROKiT BMW), Iker Lecuona (Bulega's teammate), and Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha). For fans following American talent, Garrett Gerloff qualified 12th on his Kawasaki ZX-10RR with a time of 1:39.419. Danilo Petrucci finished just behind Gerloff in 13th. This strong performance from Bulega sets the stage for an exciting race weekend in Hungary.
