Cook Leads British Superbike Test at Donington Park

Max Cook impressed at the R&G Official Test at Donington Park, topping the timesheets on the new bimota KB988 Rimini Superbike. He held off Danny Kent by 0.285 seconds, showcasing strong potential for the upcoming British Superbike Championship season. This performance marks a promising debut for both Cook and the new bimota machine.
Max Cook made a significant impact at the recent R&G Official Test at Donington Park, demonstrating impressive pace aboard the new AJN Steelstock bimota KB988 Rimini Superbike. Cook consistently built momentum throughout the two-day event, ultimately securing the fastest lap midway through the final session.
His best time of 1m:27.184s put him 0.285 seconds clear of Cheshire Mouldings Yamaha rider Danny Kent, who finished second. Kent's teammate Rory Skinner was a close third, just 0.030s behind. Honda Racing UK's Ryan Vickers and McAMS Yamaha's Bradley Ray rounded out the top five, highlighting the competitive field.
Defending champion Kyle Ryde posted the sixth fastest time on a non-BSB specification Ducati, as he awaits his first test with the new Nitrous Competitions Racing Ducati. Andrew Irwin, debuting with MET fonaCAB Racing, secured seventh, with Christian Iddon (Sencat Racing Yamaha), Josh Brookes (DAO Racing Honda), and Leon Haslam (Moto Rapido Racing) completing the top ten. The teams and riders now look ahead to the final official test at Oulton Park before the season officially begins.
