The R&G Official Test at Donington Park saw Max Cook deliver a standout performance, leading the British Superbike (BSB) class times on the new AJN Steelstock bimota. This marked a dream debut for the bimota KB988 Rimini Superbikes in their first official BSB appearance.
Cook consistently impressed across all three sessions, outpacing last year's title runner-up, Bradley Ray of McAMS Yamaha, and Christian Iddon on the Sencat Yamaha, who finished third fastest in the BSB standings. Other notable riders included Leon Haslam, returning with Moto Rapido Racing, and Andrew Irwin, debuting with MET fonaCAB Racing.
While Cook led the BSB-spec bikes, defending double champion Kyle Ryde posted the fastest overall time of the day. However, Ryde's impressive 1m:27.647s lap was achieved on a non-BSB specification Ducati V4 R, indicating his readiness for the upcoming season after extensive winter testing.
