Joel Esteban has made a significant mark in the Moto3 World Championship, securing pole position during qualifying at the Autódromo Internacional de Goiânia – Ayrton Senna in Brazil. Piloting his Level Up MTA KTM on Pirelli control tires, Esteban dominated the 25-rider field with an impressive lap time of 1:26.241.
The qualifying session proved to be a thrilling and unpredictable affair. Valentin Perrone on his Red Bull KTM Tech3 machine was the next fastest, just behind Esteban with a 1:26.447. Hakim Danish, riding for AEON Credit MT Helmets MSI KTM, rounded out the front row, earning his first career front-row start with a 1:26.448.
The session was not without its drama, including a red flag due to track conditions following a highside for Cormac Buchanan and a smaller fall for Danish. Despite the interruptions, the action quickly resumed, with lap times dropping into the 1’26s. Other notable qualifiers for the second row included Veda Pratama (Honda Team Asia), Marco Morelli (CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team), and Brian Uriarte (Red Bull KTM Ajo). This highly contested qualifying sets the stage for what promises to be an exciting race.
