MotoAmerica Mini Cup Qualifiers Expand

MotoAmerica's Mission Mini Cup youth development program is expanding its qualifying events with South Florida MiniGP hosting two area qualifiers in 2026. This initiative provides young riders aged six to sixteen in the Southeast the chance to earn points towards the National Final, fostering the next generation of road racing talent.
MotoAmerica, the premier motorcycle road racing series in North America, has announced an expansion of its Mission Mini Cup program with South Florida MiniGP (SFL MiniGP) joining as a host for qualifying rounds in 2026. This addition aims to strengthen MotoAmerica's grassroots development efforts, offering young riders in Florida and the broader Southeast region more opportunities to compete.
SFL MiniGP will host two area qualifiers, allowing participants to earn valuable bonus points towards the Mission Mini Cup National Final scheduled for August. Chuck Aksland, COO of MotoAmerica, expressed appreciation for SFL MiniGP's commitment to supporting these qualifiers and providing young racers with chances to develop their skills and contend for a title.
The Mission Mini Cup serves as a crucial youth development ladder for MotoAmerica, catering to riders between six and sixteen years old across various classes. These include Stock 50cc (ages 6-8), Stock 110 (ages 8-12), GP 110 (ages 10-14), GP 160 (10-14), and GP 190 (12-16). This program is designed to be a proving ground, identifying and nurturing the sport's future professional talent. For riders in our region interested in road racing, keeping an eye on these development programs could be beneficial.
