MSF Launches Free Ride Day Events for All Skill Levels
The Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) is introducing new Ride Day events, offering free opportunities for both aspiring and experienced riders to enhance their skills. These events aim to make learning to ride more accessible and provide a quick skills check for seasoned motorcyclists.
The Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF), widely recognized for its comprehensive Basic RiderCourse, is expanding its offerings with new MSF Ride Day events. These free events are designed to cater to a broad spectrum of riders, from complete beginners to those with years of experience.
For those new to two wheels, the MOTO Intro course provides a fantastic, no-cost entry point. Within just 30 minutes, participants can learn the fundamentals of motorcycle operation in a safe, closed-course environment. Bikes, gear, and expert coaches are all provided, allowing aspiring riders to quickly grasp starting, stopping, shifting into first gear, and riding a basic loop. This initiative is perfect for anyone curious about motorcycling but hesitant to commit to a full course immediately.
Experienced riders aren't left out either. The Ride Day events also feature Skills Check courses, offering a valuable opportunity to refresh and refine riding techniques. This can be particularly beneficial for riders looking to sharpen their handling, braking, and maneuvering skills, ensuring they stay confident and safe on the road.
Currently available in 14 states, these events underscore the MSF's commitment to rider education and safety. While specific dates and locations for Arkansas haven't been announced, the program's expansion could eventually bring these valuable free training opportunities closer to home for many Arkansas riders, making it easier to either start their riding journey or fine-tune their existing abilities.
