Nate Kern to Race Special BMW R 1300 R Hooligan Bike at Daytona

Long-time BMW Motorrad rider Nate Kern will compete in the Mission Super Hooligan National Championship at Daytona, riding a custom ROKiT BMW R 1300 R. This special entry commemorates the 50th anniversary of BMW's historic Superbike victory at Daytona in 1976.
Motorcycle enthusiasts are looking forward to the Mission Super Hooligan National Championship at Daytona, where veteran BMW Motorrad rider Nate Kern is set to make a unique appearance. Kern will be piloting a bespoke ROKiT BMW R 1300 R, a machine crafted by a dedicated team from the BMW Motorrad Custom Speed Shop.
This special entry is part of a larger 50th-anniversary celebration taking place at Daytona International Speedway. The event commemorates the world's first Superbike race, held in 1976, which saw Steve McLaughlin secure victory on a specially prepared Butler & Smith BMW R 90 S Superbike. McLaughlin, along with runner-up Reg Pridmore and team rider Gary Fisher, were instrumental in that historic win for BMW.
The RPM Ventures NC, in partnership with the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America (BMW MOA), is hosting the celebration to honor these racing pioneers and BMW's legacy in Superbike racing. Kern's participation with the custom R 1300 R not only adds an exciting element to the Super Hooligan race but also serves as a modern tribute to the original R 90 S that triumphed five decades ago. Riders can appreciate the blend of history and contemporary performance this event brings to the track.
