Quiles Dominates Jerez Moto3 Race
Maximo Quiles secured a commanding victory at the FIM Moto3 World Championship race in Jerez, Spain, marking his second win of the season. The Spaniard, riding for CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team, finished nearly two seconds ahead of Adrian Fernandez, who took second after a final-lap battle with David Muñoz. Quiles now holds a significant lead in the championship standings.
Maximo Quiles delivered a standout performance at the Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto, clinching victory in the FIM Moto3 World Championship race. Piloting his Pirelli-equipped CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team KTM, Quiles dominated the 19-lap event, crossing the finish line a comfortable 1.991 seconds ahead of the competition. This win marks his second triumph of the current season.
The battle for the remaining podium spots was intense, particularly in the closing stages. Adrian Fernandez, riding for Leopard Racing Honda, secured the runner-up position. He emerged victorious from a fierce, last-corner showdown with David Muñoz of Liqui Moly Dynavolt IntactGP KTM, who ultimately finished third, just 2.009 seconds behind Quiles.
Quiles' teammate, Marco Morelli, finished fourth, with Alvaro Carpe of Red Bull KTM Ajo rounding out the top five. This strong showing at Jerez has significantly bolstered Quiles' championship aspirations. He now leads the FIM Moto3 World Championship standings with 90 points, a substantial 37-point advantage over second-place Alvaro Carpe, who holds 53 points. Adrian Fernandez currently sits in third place with 49 points.
